How to stay safe when contacting us

  • In an emergency, first evaluate the situation and check on the children’s safety. If there is immediate danger, contact the police.
  • Make sure it’s safe to talkโ€”consider whether the abuser is present or expected to return soon.
  • Our hotlines are confidential and anonymous. You can choose to give a false name or remain unnamed.
  • If you need to leave quickly, identify a safe place to go and gather essential documents in advance.
  • Avoid telling the abuser about your plans to leave, as this could increase the risk of harm.
